Rubix, Europe’s leading industrial maintenance products distributor, acquires Matara.

Rubix expands its mechatronics offer with the acquisition of Matara – a specialist supplier of linear motion, automation and pneumatic components to UK industry.

1st December 2020 – Rubix, Europe’s leading industrial maintenance products distributor, acquires Matara.

As well as providing linear motion, pneumatics, aluminium extrusion and actuator system products, Matara also has an in-house machine shop which provides expert precision customisation services. These include cutting linear rails, building bespoke frames, machining ballscrews, assembling pneumatic cylinders and other ancillary solutions.

With Matara joining the Rubix family, customers will be able to benefit from a considerably expanded offering of specialist mechatronics products and related expert technical services all from the UK and Europe’s number one multi-specialist supplier of industrial supplies and services.

Matara will continue to operate from its site in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, but will now be ‘Powered by Rubix’ as it becomes a part of the Rubix family.
