Rubix opens new purpose-built premises in Newport, South Wales
We are excited to announce the opening of our new Rubix purpose-built premises in Newport, South Wales, which is now home to the Brammer Buck & Hickman Newport branch, our regional Engineering Centre and Hydraflow Hydraulics which came in to the Rubix fold in 2019.
Following an increase in demand for our Newport Engineering Centre’s services, plus steady growth in branch sales, coupled with the acquisition of local company Hydraflow Hydraulics, relocating these previously separate entities into one locale was an obvious move.
Newport Business Centre provided us with that opportunity and the space to build a facility that exactly matches our needs and those of our customers. Our new site within Newport Business Centre covers a substantial 15,845 square feet, has a 26-tonne crane capacity and 1 metre turning diameter – 15-metre bed length lathe, all of which is considerably more than we previously enjoyed across the different sites. It has full CNC capabilities, electro mechanical capabilities, gearbox repair services and hydraulic/pneumatic repair and reverse engineering, all available from a single location.
Commenting on the new site and facilities, Peter Burrows, Director UK Engineering Services at Rubix, said: “The new premises at Newport represent a significant investment; one that will enable us to better serve our customers’ engineering needs when it comes to MRO. Now, customers can benefit from our extensive range of product available through the Brammer Buck & Hickman branch whilst simultaneously using our added value services such as gearbox repairs and more specialist engineering services.
“The development of the site and the relocation to it went very smoothly thanks to the great team work involved; they may previously have been spread across three sites, but this move has already shown the staff in Newport to be working as a single team.
“The new site not only benefits our customers, but also brings benefits to the local community.”
Located just off Junction 28 of the M4 for maximum convenience, the new Rubix site is located at:
