Celebrating British Science Week with E-Commerce Manager, Gurpreet Singh
Brammer Buck & Hickman is proud to be celebrating British Science Week from 5-14th March. It’s a ten-day celebration of the role that science, technology, engineering and maths play in all our lives. With the backdrop of a global pandemic, now it is more important than ever that we embrace and explore it!
At Brammer Buck & Hickman, we recognise that being Digital with a Human Touch is a key pillar throughout every corner of our business. Right now, it’s vital for us to transform the quality of our customer experience and enable ourselves to compete in a world where customers have high expectations of how the digital experience should look and feel.
At the forefront of our efforts is E-Commerce Manager, Gurpreet Singh. We wanted to share Gurpreet’s story with you as part of British Science Week which showcases the diversity of STEM, and the broad range of jobs and careers available.
Gurpreet came to us after completing a Management and Strategy BSc at Aston University. Beginning his journey as part of our Graduate Scheme, Gurpreet went on to become Operations Account Development Manager in the Strategic Contracts department, before moving onto the role of Process and Support Manager and now, E-Commerce Manager. He has been with us for just over six years.
“The two years on the graduate scheme provided invaluable experiences” Gurpreet comments. “In this short period of time, I was able to develop relationships with colleagues not only in the UK but also across our Europe wide group.”
Gurpreet is excited to see the change in Brammer Buck & Hickman and the wider industry as we move to more digital-focused solutions. He comments, “I expect the industry to change hugely over the near future as our customers embrace technology for indirect purchasing.”
For any young people looking to make a career in STEM industries, Gurpreet has some useful advice: “Always remember to ask questions, fresh eyes bring a new perspective and challenge the current status quo!”
