Rubix acquires Hydraflow Hydraulics

9th December 2019 – Rubix, Europe’s number one multi-specialist supplier of industrial products, services and solutions has acquired Hydra Engineering Services (Hydraflow Hydraulics).

Hydraflow Hydraulics specialise in the repair and reconditioning of large cylinders and offer considerable expertise in related MRO services. These include on-site fault-finding and testing of hydraulic pumps, power pack refurbishment, build and custom design, as well as valve repair. It serves customers in the steel, marine, industrial, and quarrying and mining industries, as well as related heavy plant machinery.

Reporting in the year ending 30 June 2019 sales of £2.7m, Hydraflow Hydraulics have a team of 18 highly skilled hydraulic engineers who operate from sites in Gloucester, Somerset and Newport, South Wales.

Rubix customers will benefit from the expanded technical services and capabilities that Hydraflow Hydraulics will bring to Rubix’s existing engineering centres, particularly hydraulic reconditioning services.

Furthermore, this acquisition embeds Rubix’s market position as the leading multi-specialist industrial supplies and services distributor by being able to offer our customers across the UK with a comprehensive hydraulic services offering.

Hydraflow Hydraulics will continue to operate as a specialist independent hydraulic services department and a key strategic addition to Rubix’s existing engineering and services centres and department, now ‘Powered by Rubix’.
