Expanded capabilities at Rubix Product Proving Technical Competence Centre with the arrival of two new Hurco CNC Machines
We are pleased to announce the arrival of two Hurco CNC vertical machining centres and lathes to our Rubix Product Proving Technical Competence Centre in Wolverhampton.
Our Product Proving Centre offers a range of services, including the latest CNC machines to demonstrate how we can deliver engineered solutions while working in partnership with the leading cutting tools brands and also our exclusive brand Cutline. Using real parts, with real tools on real machines, our specialist application team are able to demonstrate achievable savings and solutions for customers.
Hurco has been a leading CNC machine tool technology supplier for over 50 years, with scores of patents. It focusses on providing reliable CNC machines with highly flexible CNC control. Hurco’s most popular 5 axis machining centre, the VMX42SRTi, plus a TM8i CNC lathe, have now been installed into our Product Proving Technical Competence Centre and are fully operational. The VMX42SRTi has outstanding machine capacity compared to footprint size and is able to work to the same standards for high-power 3 axis applications as for complex 5 axis 3D contouring. It has a 12,000 RPM, 37kW spindle and direct drives on all axes, plus a 40 station toolchanger as standard. The TM8i CNC lathe, which has a bar capacity of 64.5mm and 12 station turret, has been installed to demonstrate turning tools and workholding.
Our nationwide engineered solutions team have all been fully trained in the operation of these Hurco machines and are competent with Hurco conversational programming, to ensure you get the very best from them.
The new Hurco machines are also supported by Open Mind using the latest CAM modules hyperMill, innovative CAM technology for 5 axis milling.
