The HDS 12/18-4 S features an air-cooled 4-pole electric motor (1400 rpm), which is extremely durable and protected against overheating. Lashing rings make it easy to load and transport the machine in vehicles. A foot-lever allows the machine to be tilted. The HDS 12/18-4 S is committed to protecting the environment. In "ECO" mode, the unit operates in the most economical temperature range (up to 60°C), which is also the most universal, reducing fuel consumption by 20%. Its high-efficiency burner guarantees reduced fuel consumption and lower gas emissions, exceeding the criteria of increasingly restrictive European standards. An exhaust gas temperature sensor has been integrated at the burner outlet to trigger automatic shutdown of the unit if the temperature exceeds 300°C. The great originality of the HDS 12/18-4 S lies in the machine and coil protection system. Developed exclusively by Kärcher®, this new system protects the machine from limescale and corrosion, thus extending its service life.The HDS 12/18-4 S stands out for its ease of use. All controls are centralized at the front of the machine: water connection, high-pressure outlet, electrical cable, fuel and detergent tanks are all accessible from the same side, facilitating machine maintenance. It also features a storage system for accessories. There are also 2 detergent tanks, making it easy and economical to switch from one product to another. Last but not least, user comfort is enhanced by the Easy-Press handle combined with the Servo-Control system: not only is pressure on the handle assisted for effortless work, but water pressure and flow are easily adjusted, continuously between the handle and the wand.
