Product details : 316532 DIG. CONTROL ELECTRONCIS FOR PROP.VALVES

The digital drive electronics type 8605 is used to drive proportional solenoid control valves in the power range of 40-2000 mA. The electronics convert an external standard signal into a pulse-width modulated (PWM) signal, with which the opening of the proportional valve and thus a fluidic output variable (e.g. flow) can be adjusted continuously. An internal current control using the duty cycle of the PWM signal as the control variable ensures that each value of the input signal is assigned a definite value of the effective coil current, independent of the thermal condition of the coil. The electronics can be easily adapted to a specific proportional valve and to the concrete conditions of an application via a display and operating keys. To integrate the drive — and thus also the proportional valve — into a higher-level control system, the CAN-based variant of the drive (called büS) is required. The parameterization and configuration of the proportional valve can be carried out quickly and easily with the Bürkert Communicator software. In addition, the büS drive electronics allow shut-off valves to be integrated into büS/CAN systems. With the integrated timer function, a shut-off valve can be opened or closed for a defined period of time. This is used, for example, for volume control in filling processes. Optionally, type 8605 can be equipped with an additional I/O board. This enables the connection of external sensors or switches. The valve's response to these input signals can be configured (e.g. two-point control).
