Product details : SMC CG5EA50TFSV-200 STAINLESS STEEL CYLINDER
The CG5-S series from SMC brings together stainless steel pneumatic cylinders, double acting and single rod. Detachable or non-detachable, eight bores are offered, from 20 mm to 100 mm, with five mounting types and two cushioning modes.
Features:
Each cylinder combines a stainless steel rod and body with a double acting, single rod design. Operation requires no lubrication, which simplifies routine maintenance. Two cushioning modes are available across the range: a rubber bumper or adjustable pneumatic cushioning at end of stroke.
Five mounting types are available: basic type, axial foot mounting, rod-side flange, cap-side flange and integrated clevis, each with its own accessories. The supply ports are available with Rc, NPT or G threads depending on the bore selected.
Only references beginning with CDG5, with a magnetised piston, are compatible with an external position sensor; CG5 references without a magnetised piston do not allow this detection. This sensor is mounted by band only and is available in a water-resistant version.
Specifications:

Strengths
- Corrosion resistance: the all-stainless-steel construction improves performance in damp and aggressive environments.
- Simplified maintenance: no lubrication required reduces routine maintenance tasks.
- Mounting flexibility: the five mounting types and the different port threads make it easier to integrate into a wide range of machine configurations.
- Detection reserved for CDG5: the magnetised piston allows the use of an external position sensor, available in particular in a water-resistant version.
- End-of-stroke control: the choice between a rubber bumper and pneumatic cushioning makes it possible to adapt cushioning to the operating speed.

Applications
This range of stainless steel pneumatic cylinders is intended for production lines requiring enhanced resistance to corrosion and moisture.
The food and drink, pharmaceutical and chemical sectors, where frequent equipment cleaning exposes components to water and cleaning agents, are among the environments concerned. Use in saline or marine atmospheres also benefits from the stainless steel construction of the body and rod.
On assembly, handling or packaging lines, the cylinders perform pushing, lifting or parts transfer functions, with a choice of mounting suited to each machine configuration. On CDG5 versions, position detection facilitates integration of the cylinder into automated systems.
