V-Rings are axial seals with an elastomer sealing element vulcanised in the mould. The typical design of a V-Ring is comprised of the body, the flexible joint and the sealing lip.

V-rings are usually used for unsealed seals against dirt, water splash and oil on moving shafts. The V-shaped sealing lip, which gave the V-ring its name, acts axially. The sealing materials NBR, FKM and FPM are mostly used as material.
