At SMC, we continue to focus on optimizing the performance and functionality of our products by further improving our rack-and-pinion rotary actuator. The CRA1-Z series features a more easily adjustable damping screw, is lighter and allows greater flexibility when mounting the sensor. It is serrated, has a snap ring to prevent it from falling out, and can be adjusted simply by using a hexagonal wrench. The CRA1-Z is also interchangeable with the current CRA1 model, as the shaft diameter, external and mounting dimensions are identical. Thanks to the positioning of the orifice, damping screw and sensor on the same surface, the CRA1-Z series is easy to handle. Likewise, rounded detectors can be mounted on the front, on two surfaces, and placed anywhere on the mounting groove, at any time. Ideal for demanding applications such as robotics and materials handling, the CRA1-Z is available with eight different axis versions and four standard rotation angles.
