LOCTITE LB 8040 is a special mineral oil that has been developed to dissolve rusted, corroded and seized parts. The cold shock cools parts immediately to -43 °C and makes microscopic cracks in the rust layer. This allows the lubricating ingredients to penetrate directly into the layer by the capillary effect. The product leaves a thin layer behind on the dissolved parts that provides lubrication and prevents rust.
