Product details : SKF SEALED SPHERICAL ROLLER BS2-2210-2RSK/VT143
Spherical roller bearings play a key role in the proper operation of equipment subjected to high mechanical loads. Their robust design ensures reliable and continuous performance, even under unstable or demanding operating conditions.
Thanks to its double row of rollers and self-aligning capability, this SKF spherical roller bearing effectively withstands heavy loads, whether radial or axial. It is equipped with two seals and a tapered bore.
Features:
This roller bearing features a rigorously optimized internal architecture that promotes uniform distribution of mechanical stresses across the two rows of spherical rollers. This configuration helps significantly reduce localized wear, particularly in the presence of angular misalignment. Its tapered bore with a 1:12 taper ratio allows for precise mounting on tapered shafts or via a sleeve, providing fine control of internal radial clearance. The cage, made of stamped steel sheet, ensures stable dynamic distribution of the rolling elements while minimizing system inertia. The bearing features a peripheral groove lubrication system with three holes in the outer ring, designed to facilitate lubricant delivery during operation. It is pre-filled with LGEP 2 grease, whose properties are suited to environments requiring both load-carrying capacity and thermal stability. The NBR contact seals, integrated on both sides of the bearing, provide an effective barrier against the ingress of particles and moisture without unduly compromising the system’s efficiency.
Maintenance:
This bearing is shipped pre-greased with a standard grease and must not be washed before installation. When relubrication is necessary, slowly inject grease through the lubrication holes. It is recommended to use the same grease as the original. Regular inspection of the lubrication points and lubrication level helps detect abnormalities early on. Adherence to the operating temperature ranges is also essential: LGEP 2 grease remains effective between -20 °C and +110 °C.
Sealing:
This model is equipped with NBR lip seals on both sides. These seals, reinforced with a steel sheet reinforcement, effectively protect the bearing from external contaminants such as dust, moisture, or liquid splashes. Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) offers temperature resistance up to 90 °C during continuous operation and 120 °C for short periods. This seal is designed to withstand intensive cleaning cycles, including high-pressure washing.
Brand Information:
SKF is a Swedish industrial group founded in 1907, recognized as one of the world leaders in the field of bearings. With a presence in more than 130 countries, it offers innovative solutions for the industrial, automotive, and aerospace sectors. Its expertise is based on quality, sustainable performance, and equipment optimization. SKF invests heavily in research to develop increasingly efficient products.
Key Benefits:
- Ability to withstand high radial and axial loads.
- Self-alignment to compensate for mounting misalignment.
- Enhanced protection against contaminants thanks to NBR seals.
- Integrated lubrication system for easier maintenance.
- Robust and durable design for extended service life.
- Suitable for demanding environments with moderate temperatures.
Applications:
This self-aligning ball bearing is ideal for industrial transmissions, elevators, material handling systems, and textile machinery. It is also suitable for equipment in the paper industry. Its self-aligning capability makes it particularly well-suited for installations where perfect shaft alignment is difficult to ensure.
