To connect any drive shaft to a driven shaft, Timken Quick-Flex elastomeric couplings are a smart solution. There is no metal-to-metal contact, due to the urethane insert, so no lubrication is needed. Couplings are use to connect motor to gearbox, gearbox to driven equipment and motors to pumps.
Strengths
The standard Quick-Flex red insert is made from a relatively soft urethane compound. This insert is well suited for a wide range of applications. The standard insert excels in vibration dampening and cushioning of shock loads and is best for reversing applications or applications with quick starting and stopping of high-inertial loads. This insert offers an operational temperature range of -50° C to 100° C (-60° F to 212° F).
Applications
Timken Quick-Flex couplings stand up to harsh environments and operate efficiently in applications including: motor to gearbox (low torque/high speed), gearbox to driven equipment (high torque/low speed), motors to pumps and any drive shaft to a driven drive shaft.
