NTN NJ305EAT2X CYLINDRICAL ROLLER BEARING

Suited to high radial loads and to use as a floating or fixed bearing, cylindrical roller bearings feature low friction and good stiffness. They are available in a wide range of models and variants addressing specific contexts: heat, axial displacement, operating noise, speed, capacity, etc.

The NJ.EA.T2X series from NTN combines cylindrical rollers, optimized ULTAGE™ geometry and a polyamide cage. This design meets the needs of mechanisms subjected to significant radial loads and high rotational speeds.

• NJ: single-row cylindrical roller bearing, with two shoulders on the outer ring and one shoulder on the inner ring; separable design + axial support in one direction

Features:
The line contact between the rollers and the raceways (cylindrical rollers) allows the bearing to support substantial radial loads while maintaining good high-speed capability. The NJ configuration pairs two shoulders on the outer ring with one shoulder on the inner ring. This architecture ensures axial guidance of the shaft in only one direction and permits the acceptance of a moderate axial load in that direction.

The separable design facilitates assembly and disassembly operations, especially when tight fits are required. The rings can be mounted independently on the shaft and in the housing.

The EA version relies on NTN's ULTAGE™ technology. Optimization of roller diameter, length and number increases load capacity while maintaining standard limiting dimensions. This evolution allows longer maintenance intervals and provides better high-speed performance.

The T2X polyamide cage is robust and resistant to high temperatures. Its low weight limits internal forces during rotation.

Maintenance:
This cylindrical roller bearing requires lubrication appropriate to the operating conditions to limit wear of the raceways and rollers. The polyamide cage conditions the choice of lubricant: oils containing extreme-pressure additives based on sulfur or phosphorus can accelerate material degradation at high temperature.

Regular monitoring of lubricant condition, vibrations, operating noise and temperature enables detection of signs of premature wear. During maintenance operations, external surfaces should be kept clean to prevent contaminants from entering the bearing.
