Designed for high radial loads and for use as either floating or fixed bearings, cylindrical roller bearings offer low friction and good rigidity. They are available in a wide range of models and variants tailored to specific conditions: heat, axial displacement, operating noise, speed, capacity, etc.
This family of NTN cylindrical roller bearings combines an ULTAGE™ design, a NUP fixed-bearing architecture and a T2X polyamide cage. This combination increases load capacity and service life while retaining the external dimensions of a standard bearing.

The NUP architecture of these bearings allows them to carry substantial radial loads while ensuring axial retention of the shaft in both directions. Maintaining the performance of these bearings relies on appropriate lubrication. The choice of lubricant should take into account operating temperature, rotational speed, applied loads and the operating environment. It should also consider the composition of additives used to ensure their compatibility with the polyamide cage. In particular, attention should be paid to oils containing extreme-pressure additives based on sulfur or phosphorus, which can alter the material properties at elevated temperatures.

Maintenance operations include monitoring noise, vibrations, operating temperature and lubricant condition. Abnormal changes in these parameters may indicate lubrication failure, contamination or an alignment problem.

Particular attention should be paid to the operating temperature, which should remain between -20 °C and 120 °C. During inspections, it is recommended to check the condition of the glass-fiber reinforced polyamide cage, whose mechanical properties can change after prolonged exposure to high temperatures, humidity or certain incompatible lubricants.
