The 3M™ 3792LMQ hot melt adhesive is a versatile adhesive based on a thermoplastic resin formulation. After curing it remains transparent and is suitable for bonding wood, textiles, paper, lightweight plastics and for upholstery work. With an open time of 40 to 50 seconds it provides sufficient leeway for corrections before final setting.

Properties:
This adhesive belongs to the family of low-temperature hot melt adhesives. As a result it is particularly suitable for materials that cannot tolerate high temperatures, such as foams, coated paper or certain flexible plastics.
The adhesive is processed with a hot melt adhesive dispensing device, either manually or semi-automatically (models Scotch-Weld™ LT, LT Quadrack or EC depending on the version). Fixation occurs almost immediately after application. The open time of 40 to 50 seconds allows precise alignment before final bonding.
After curing the adhesive remains transparent, providing unobtrusive bonds. When heated it emits only low odors, which improves workplace comfort. Furthermore, the formulation offers electrical insulating properties, good resistance to thermal shock and is non-corrosive.
