Suitable for high radial loads and for use as a free or fixed bearing, cylindrical roller bearings offer low friction and good rigidity. They are available in a wide range of designs and variants to meet specific conditions: heat, axial displacement, operating noise, speed, capacity, etc.
This family of NTN cylindrical roller bearings is intended for mechanisms where radial loads predominate. The combination of a reinforced design, a solid machined brass cage and a C3 radial internal clearance meets the needs of equipment subjected to high speeds and thermal variations.

Explanation :
NU : single-row cylindrical roller bearing with two ribs on the outer ring and none on the inner ring
E : increased load-capacity design achieved by increasing the diameter, length and number of rollers while retaining standard outer dimensions.
G1 : solid machined brass cage with square pockets, without rivets.
C3 : radial internal clearance greater than normal.

Features :
This bearing family uses an outer ring fitted with two ribs while the inner ring has none. This geometry allows relative axial movement between the rings and permits its use as a free bearing. The assembly consisting of the outer ring, rollers and cage can be separated from the inner ring, which facilitates mounting and dismounting operations.

Its reinforced design (E) is characterized by an increase in diameter, length and number of rollers compared with a standard version of the same envelope. This development improves radial load capacity without requiring a bearing of larger dimensions.

The G1 cage is made from solid machined brass. Its one-piece, rivetless design offers high mechanical robustness and is suitable for high-speed applications. The C3 radial clearance, greater than normal, promotes operation in assemblies where thermal expansions can reduce the available internal clearance.

This design is suited to radial loads. Conversely, it is not intended to accommodate axial or combined loads.

Maintenance :
To limit wear of the rolling elements, lubrication appropriate to the speed, load and operating temperature is necessary. Periodic checks of noise, vibration and temperature allow detection of premature wear or lubrication degradation. During maintenance operations, the condition of the raceways, rollers and cage should also be inspected. Any contamination by solid particles or impurities must be avoided to preserve bearing life.

The reinforced load-capacity version is also suitable for mechanisms that must transmit significant radial forces while maintaining a limited overall footprint.
