The Loctite 638 retaining compound is a high-strength, fast-curing adhesive for general use.
Formulated specifically for gluing cylindrical assemblies, the Loctite 638 is also suitable for applications with play up to 0.25 mm. You can use this product to attach shafts, pins, pinions, pulleys, for example.
Loctite 638 retaining compound is also well suited for active metals and passive substrates, and has an exceptional polymerisation performance. The adhesive product is resistant to high temperatures up to 180°C and displays a slight tolerance to oil and contaminants on surfaces.

• Colour: Green.
• Max diameter play: 0.25 mm.
• Operating temperature range: -55 to +180°C.
• Resistance to shearing and traction: > 25 N/mm².
