The product is mainly used for flexible flange seals or for appropriately designed torsionally rigid flange joints. The product withstands on-line low-pressure leak tests carried out after flange assembly. Typical applications include flange seals of stamped sheet-metal parts (gearbox covers and oil pans), where excellent oil resistance is required and significant relative movement between the flanges is to be expected.
