Product details : SNR 6211F600 SPECIFIC BALL BEARINGS
TOPLINE deep groove ball bearing, radial contact, pressed steel cage, open, applications upto 350°C.
This SNR deep groove ball bearing has been designed for smooth, quiet and reliable rotation under extreme temperature conditions of up to +350 °C. The open design provides excellent heat dissipation and allows direct access for maintenance. Ideal for high-temperature applications with high speeds, this bearing meets the requirements of dynamic and precise systems. It stands out for its robustness, versatility and energy-efficient performance.
Features:
The single-row ball bearing with a pressed steel cage belongs to SNR's Topline series. It has been specially designed for use at very high temperatures and features a special surface treatment of phosphating combined with a layer of molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂). This coating improves both corrosion protection and lubrication under severe thermal stress.
Please note: MoS₂ reacts with water and can form sulfuric acid – therefore this bearing should not be used in humid environments.
The bearing is not sealed, which minimizes frictional losses and increases mechanical efficiency, enabling low energy consumption and rapid spin-up. The radial internal clearance is above C5, providing greater freedom of movement between the rolling elements. This reliably compensates for thermal expansions without compromising operational safety or rotational freedom. Thanks to the open construction, operation at very high speeds is possible while providing excellent heat dissipation. The bearing is suitable for high radial loads as well as moderate axial forces in both directions.
Maintenance:
Regular maintenance is required to maintain performance. Due to the lack of seals, the bearing must be used in clean and dry environments. Periodic re-lubrication using a lubricant that is appropriate for both the operating temperature and the speed is necessary. The condition of the bearing should be continuously monitored, especially at high temperatures, to avoid premature wear.
Sealing:
This model is open in design, i.e. without seals. This enables better cooling and easy access for lubrication, but makes the bearing more vulnerable to contaminants such as dust, liquids or moisture. This construction maximizes thermal and mechanical properties but requires enhanced monitoring and consistent maintenance to extend the bearing's service life.
Brand information:
SNR is a brand of the NTN Group and a globally recognized manufacturer of rolling bearings and mechanical solutions. Founded in France, SNR combines European know-how with Japanese innovation. The company is present in many industrial sectors and is characterized by product quality, innovative capability and sustainable technical performance.
Strengths:
• Usable at extreme temperatures up to +350 °C
• Phosphate-treated surface with MoS₂ coating for optimized lubrication and high oxidation resistance
• Low starting torque for energy-efficient operation
• Suitable for very high speeds
• Open design for improved cooling and maintenance access
• High radial load capacity and moderate axial load in both directions
• Quiet running with low vibration
• Pressed steel cage for stability and long-lasting performance
Applications:
This bearing is ideally suited for equipment operating at high temperatures and low speeds. Typical areas of application include continuous furnace conveyors, heat treatment equipment, and production lines for glass, ceramics or steel. It is also used in hot conveying systems, such as motorized grippers, conveyor chains or intensive drying installations. Its open design and resistance to extreme temperatures make it a reliable solution for stationary devices exposed to thermal radiation.
