NTN NJ306EAT2X CYLINDRICAL ROLLER BEARING

Suited to high radial loads and for use as a free or fixed bearing, cylindrical roller bearings feature low friction and good stiffness. They are available in a wide range of designs and variants to meet specific conditions: heat, axial displacement, operating noise, speed, capacity, etc.

The NTN NJ.EA.T2X series combines cylindrical rollers, optimized ULTAGE™ geometry and a polyamide cage. This design meets the needs of mechanisms subjected to significant radial loads and high rotational speeds.

Explanation :
• NJ : single-row cylindrical roller bearing, with two shoulders on the outer ring and one shoulder on the inner ring; separable design + axial retention in one direction
• EA : compact ULTAGE™ design, with increased load capacity thanks to internal optimization of the rollers and raceways
• T2X : reinforced polyamide cage offering lightness and strength

Characteristics :
The linear contact between the rollers and the raceways (cylindrical rollers) allows support of significant radial loads while maintaining good high-speed capability. The NJ configuration combines two shoulders on the outer ring and one shoulder on the inner ring. This architecture provides axial guidance of the shaft in a single direction and permits the accommodation of a moderate axial load in that direction.

The separable design facilitates assembly and disassembly operations, especially when tight fits are required. The rings can be mounted independently on the shaft and in the housing.

The EA version is based on NTN's ULTAGE™ technology. Optimization of the diameter, length and number of rollers increases load capacity while retaining standard envelope dimensions. This development allows longer maintenance intervals and offers improved high-speed capability.

The T2X polyamide cage is robust and withstands high temperatures. Its low weight limits internal forces during rotation.

Maintenance :
This cylindrical roller bearing requires lubrication suited to operating conditions in order to limit wear of the raceways and rollers. The polyamide cage conditions the choice of lubricant: oils containing extreme-pressure additives based on sulfur or phosphorus can accelerate degradation of the material at high temperature.

Regular monitoring of lubricant condition, vibrations, operating noise and temperature allows detection of signs of premature wear. During maintenance operations, external surfaces must be kept clean to prevent contaminants from entering the bearing.
