With the Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Pad you can effectively clean, blend and condition metal, wood, composites and difficult to work surfaces. Our Clean and Finish pads can also be used for paint preparation.Scotch-Brite Clean and Finish multi-purpose pads are useful in furniture preparation, woodworking, carpentry and furniture work, metalworking and primary finishing of wood and automotive sheet metal. These washable and reusable open mesh non-woven pads will not clog and ensure consistent processing properties throughout the life of the product. These 152.4mm x 228.6mm pads can be used by hand, giving the user precise control. For an even finish they can be used with a hand sanding block and for larger areas they can be used with an orbital sander.They can be folded, stacked or rolled for effective cleaning or conditioning of flat, irregular or contoured surfaces.Scotch-Brite Clean and Finish pads are available with silicon carbide, aluminum oxide or talc abrasive mineral. Silicon carbide is a very sharp-edged, synthetic abrasive commonly used for low-pressure applications such as painting and finishing. Aluminum oxide is a hard, blocky mineral with a high removal rate and long durability. Although silicon carbide removes faster compared to aluminum oxide, it produces a finer finish. Talc is a mild abrasive that produces a matt finish. When polishing, it produces a high-gloss finish on painted surfaces.Scotch-Brite abrasives are unique products for surface finishing. The abrasives are embedded in a non-woven fiber matrix. The combination of abrasive and non-woven material creates a sanding and polishing system that produces consistent results over the life of the product. The open non-woven structure enables cool sanding and is dust-repellent, so that the nylon fibers retain their high removal rate because they do not clog.

The Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Sheet uses a conformable non-woven fabric and a variety of minerals for blending, cleaning and finishing. Our clean and finish sheets are flexible - making them effective for use in hard to reach areas to achieve an even finish.
