Pferd Tools’ COMBIDISC® DIA diamond abrasive discs are designed for machining extremely hard materials and reinforced surfaces. The various versions available cover roughing, dressing and finishing operations on technical substrates.
Features:
The COMBIDISC® DIA range uses a diamond abrasive suitable for machining wear-resistant coatings, armour plating and high-hardness materials. It features a screw-on mounting system that facilitates quick tool changes, available in:
- CD version: internal threaded screw connection suitable for metal or plastic backing plates. More versatile, compatible with several systems (COMBIDISC or PSG, Power Lock II, etc.);
- CDR version: external-threaded screw connection suitable for plastic backing plates. Can be changed very quickly and is compatible with systems such as COMBIDISC, Roloc™, TR, Speed Lok, etc.
Use with a hard or medium-hard backing pad allows the tool’s performance to be adapted to the application. The virtual absence of vibrations contributes to smoother handling, whilst the tool/backing pad connection prevents problems with adhesion, slippage or detachment. Backing pads must be ordered separately. The set is designed for use with flexible-shaft machines, pneumatic or electric angle grinders, straight grinders and spindles.

- Recommended cutting speed: 10 to 20 m/s

Applications
These diamond abrasive discs are suitable for sharpening, graining, multi-stage finishing, surface machining, chamfering, deburring, levelling and reworking weld beads. They are suitable for use on bronze, titanium, nickel- and cobalt-based alloys, as well as fibre-reinforced plastics, thermoplastics, wood, chipboard, stone and paint.
In industry, this range can be used in the manufacture and maintenance of technical components, in the machining of wear-prone parts, in workshops working with armoured or carbide-coated materials, and in the manufacture of propulsion systems. It is used with spindles, flexible-shaft machines, straight grinders, as well as corded, pneumatic or cordless angle grinders.
