Suited to high radial loads and to use as a floating or fixed bearing, cylindrical roller bearings offer low friction and good rigidity. They are available in a wide range of designs and variants tailored to specific conditions: heat, axial displacement, operating noise, speed, capacity, etc.
The NTN NJ.EA.T2X series combines cylindrical rollers, an optimized ULTAGE™ geometry and a polyamide cage. This design meets the requirements of mechanisms subjected to significant radial loads and high rotational speeds.
Decryption :
• NJ: single-row cylindrical roller bearing, with two shoulders on the outer ring and one shoulder on the inner ring; separable design + axial location in one direction
• EA: compact ULTAGE™ design, with increased load capacity thanks to internal optimization of the rollers and raceways

Features :
The line contact between the rollers and the raceways (cylindrical rollers) allows support of high radial loads while maintaining good high-speed capability. The NJ configuration combines two shoulders on the outer ring and one shoulder on the inner ring. This architecture provides axial guidance of the shaft in a single direction and permits the accommodation of a moderate axial load in that direction.
The separable design facilitates assembly and disassembly operations, particularly when tight fits are required. The rings can be mounted independently on the shaft and in the housing.

Maintenance :
This cylindrical roller bearing requires lubrication appropriate to the operating conditions to limit wear of the raceways and rollers. The polyamide cage conditions the choice of lubricant: oils containing extreme-pressure additives based on sulfur or phosphorus can accelerate material degradation at high temperature.
Regular monitoring of lubricant condition, vibration, operating noise and temperature allows detection of early signs of wear. During maintenance operations, external surfaces should be kept clean to prevent contaminants from entering the bearing.
