Use Scotch-Brite™ EXL unitized wheels to achieve a clean, scratch-free edge finish, saving time on additional preparation and cleanup. Our wheels are designed to deliver optimal performance with a grinder and limit heat generation during use, making them particularly suitable for use on heat-sensitive materials. They are packed with a mineral abrasive to quickly level edges on metals, plastics and composites. Available in aluminum oxide or silicon carbide in various grit sizes: fine, medium, coarse and extra-coarse for aluminum oxide, and fine and very fine for silicon carbide. Scotch-Brite abrasives are unique surface treatment products that contain abrasive minerals in a layer of non-woven fibers. The combination of abrasive minerals and non-woven materials creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product life. The material has an open-web structure that allows it to stay cool during use and resists loading, for optimal performance of the abrasive and fibers that load less quickly.
