The V-Coil profile threaded inserts are made of high quality precision, nickel, chrome, austenitic steel wrapped in a helical spiral. The V-Coil inserts have a spring-like appearance and once mounted their position is maintained by the action of the radial pressure between them coils and sides of the countersunk hole. This pressure exists, because the free diameter is more from a calculated quantity, the installed diameter. Their unique design ensures that once installed using manual or automatic tools it provides a permanent strong internal wire that is resistant to heat and corrosion. Each Inserts Length is 1.5 x its diameter.
