Sagab by Elma Magnet Sticks are from the Original VoltStick range of Non Contact Testers, renowned for their reliability and quality. The Magnet Stick is used to detect the presence of a Magnetic Field without having to make any metallic contact with any parts. The Magnet Stick can be used as a diagnostics tool in many Hydraulic applications and there is an Atex Certified version for use in Hazardous Areas.
This ATEX-Approved version of the Magnet Stick is for use in hazardous areas such as chemical plants, oil refineries, offshore rigs and explosive enviroments. The Magnet Stick EX provides safe and simple checking for the presence of magnetism. Upon testing and without metallic contact, the lamp lights immediately where there is a magnetic field (e.g. an activated coil in a solenoid valve). Equipment can be tested without having to switch it off and magnetic coils can often be tested through their protective cover, saving hours of dismantling time. The Magnet Stick EX responds to all kinds of magnetic fields from alternating or direct current, to permanent magnets. A powerful red light in the tip indicates presence of a magnetic field.
